Are you a civil servant? If so, you must adhere to the rules on the disclosure of interests, tax compliance and standards of behaviour as set out in the Ethics Acts and the code of conduct for civil servants.

If you are a senior civil servant – such as a secretary general, assistant secretary, or of an equivalent grade – you are a designated public official under the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015. You are also subject to post-employment restrictions when you leave your position. For more information on lobbying and post-employment rules, visit www.lobbying.ie.
